The Steering Committee and Management Group meeting for the EU Funded Project OPTIMED was held at Casa Llotja de Mar in Barcelona on the 1st and 2nd of December 2014. OPTIMED aims to strengthening the connection between the ports in the Latin arc of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the countries of the southern shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut & Mount Lebanon (CCIA-BML) is one of the six partners working on this project from Lebanon, Italy, and Spain. Mr. Rabih Sabra, Director General of CCIA-BML, had participated in this meeting where the progresses of various work packages within the project were discussed and endorsed. The meeting highlighted achieved goals, areas for improvement and next steps considering that OPTIMED will be closed by December 2015.
