آخر المستجدات وانتخاب رئيس الجمهورية

استقبل رئيس الهيئات الاقتصادية الوزير السابق محمد شقير المنسقة الخاصة للأمم المتحدة في لبنان يوانا فرونتسكا، اليوم في مقر غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان، وجرى البحث في آخر المستجدات السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية في البلاد، لا سيما انتخاب رئيس الجمهورية وانتظام عمل المؤسسات الدستورية.

وقد جرى التأكيد من قبل&nbsp; الطرفين على ضرورة الاسراع في انتخاب رئيس الجمهورية وتشكيل حكومة جديدة للبدء فوراً في إقرار وتنفيذ خطة انقاذ وتعافي مالي واقتصادي وكذلك تنفيذ الاصلاحات الشاملة والاتفاق مع صندوق النقد الدولي، كما جرى التشديد على ضرورة تنفيذ برامج دعم اجتماعي واسعة حماية للمجتمع اللبناني.

وفي نهاية اللقاء، قدم شقير كتاب غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان للمنسقة فرونتسكا.

الهيئات الاقتصادية تستهل إجتماعها بالوقوف دقيقة صمت في ذكرى إنفجار مرفأ بيروت:

* نتحفظ بشدة على مشروع الموزانة العام 2023 ونرفض زيادة الأعباء على المؤسسات والمواطنين 

* المطلوب موزانة إصلاحية تتمتع برؤية إقتصادية وإجتماعية محفزة للاستثمار

* نرحب بانتقال صلاحيات حاكم مصرف لبنان الى منصوري من أجل تأمين استمرارية المرفق العام

* &nbsp;لانتخاب رئيس الجمهورية فوراً لأن بقاء الامور على ما هي عليه يهدد بسقوط الكيان

* لتحرك الدولة بكل أركانها وأجهزتها لوقف الاقتتال في مخيم عين الحلوة ومنع حدوث أحداث مماثلة

عقدت الهيئات الاقتصادية إجتماعاً برئاسة رئيسها الوزير السابق محمد شقير وبحضور الأعضاء، اليوم في مقر غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان، تم خلاله البحث في آخر المستجدات في البلاد لا سيما مشروع موازنة العام 2023 وانتخاب رئيس للجمهورية وانتظام عمل المؤسسات الدستورية.

في بداية الاجتماع، وقفت الهيئات الاقتصادية دقيقة صمت في الذكرى الثالثة لإنفجار مرفأ بيروت الكارثي، حداداً على أرواح الشهداء وإكراماً للمصابين والمتضررين ولبيروت، مشددة على ضرورة متابعة التحقيقات القضائية لجلاء الحقيقة وتحقيق العدالة إنصافاً لكل الذين سقطوا وأصيبوا وتضرروا ولبيروت ولبنان ولجميع اللبنانيين.

وبعدما ناقشت الهيئات الإقتصادية مطولاً المواضيع المطروحة، أصدرت بياناً أبدت فيه تحفظها الشديد على مشروع موازنة العام 2023، معتبرة أن هذا المشروع هو مشروع محاسبي، يحاولون من خلاله جباية أكبر قدر من الضرائب لتغطية أكبر نسبة ممكنة من النفقات.

وإذ اعتبرت الهيئات الاقتصادية ان هذا النوع من الموازنات التي تهدف فقط الى تغطية الأعباء المتزايدة على الخزينة من خلال زيادة الضرائب والرسوم على القطاع الخاص وعلى المواطنين، هو مسؤول بشكل اساسي عن الانهيار المالي، شددت على أن ما نحتاج اليه اليوم هو إقرار موازنة إصلاحية تتمتع برؤية إقتصادية وإجتماعية ومحفزة للاستثمار، محذرة من ان السير بمشروع موازنة العام 2023 كما هو سيؤدي حتماً الى ضرب كل المكتسبات المحققة في السنة الأخيرة، &quot;لا بل يهدد بإنهيار اقتصادي شبه كلي&quot;.

كما استهجنت تضمين مشروع الموازنة لغة تهديدة غير معهودة للمكلفين المتأخرين عن تسديد الضرائب بإحالتهم الى النيابية المالية تحت شعار التهرب الضريبي.

إزاء ذلك، أعلنت الهيئات الاقتصادية أنها أعدت ورقة تضمنت ملاحظاتها واقتراحاتها حول مشروع موازنة العام 2023، وهي ستسلمها وستتابعها مع المسؤولين المعنيين.

وفي موضوع رئاسة الجمهورية، عَبَّرّت الهيئات الاقتصادية عن أسفها وحزنها الشديد لاستمرار الفراغ في سدة الرئاسة الأولى لأكثر من تسعة اشهر من دون ان يلوح في الأفق أي بوادر توحي باقتراب الحل في&nbsp; هذا الملف الوطني الأساسي والمصيري، مناشدة كل القوى السياسية والعقلاء في البلد للعمل على انتخاب رئيس الجمهورية فوراً &quot;لأن الابقاء الامور على ما هي عليه يهدد بسقوط الكيان&quot;.

وفي موضوع حاكمية مصرف لبنان، أبدت الهيئات الاقتصادية ارتياحها لانتقال مهام وصلاحيات حاكم مصرف لبنان الى النائب الأول للحاكم وسام منصوري من أجل تأمين استمرارية هذا المرفق العام، متمنية له ولنواب الحاكم الآخرين التوفيق في مهامهم، مؤكدة الوقوف الى جانبهم في ظل هذه المرحلة الدقيقة والبالغة الصعوبة.

وفي الإطار عينه، اعتبرت الهيئات الاقتصادية ان الورقة التي اعدها نواب الحاكم وقدمها منصوري في مؤتمره الصحافي، هي ورقة قَيِّمة، مبدية تحفظها على فرض التعامل بالليرة اللبنانية بالأسواق وإعادة عقارب الساعة الى الوارء مما يحمل المستهلكين والتجار واصحاب العمل خسائر فادحة، كذلك على زيادة الضرائب وبشكل كبير على المكلفين الذي قد يطيح بالاقتصاد الوطني، مطالبةً بأن تكون زيادة ايرادات الدولة عبر توسعة قاعدة المكلفين بملاحقة المكتومين والمؤسسات غير الشرعية وجباية الضرائب والرسوم منها.

وفي الموضوع الاقتصادي، نوهت الهيئات الاقتصادية بالحركة السياحية الكبيرة التي يشهدها موسم الصيف والتي من شأنها تدعيم الاقتصاد الوطني والقطاع السياحي والمؤسسات السياحية كما المؤسسات في مختلف القطاعات وكذلك الاسر اللبنانية، داعية الدولة بكل أركانها وأجهزتها للتحرك سريعاً لوقف الاقتتال في مخيم عين الحلوة، ومنع حدوث اشتباكات أمنية مماثلة، لأن من شأن ذلك تعريض السلم الأهلي للخطر والإضرار بصورة لبنان وضرب الاقتصاد والسياحة. &nbsp;

لجنة الزراعة في اتحاد الغرف اللبنانية و&quot;USAID&quot; يبحثان التعاون

لانجاز ملفات وفحوصات مخبرية تفرضها بعض الدول للسماح للمنتجات اللبنانية بالدخول اليها

عقد لقاء عمل في مقر غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان ضم رئيس لجنة الزراعة في اتحاد الغرف اللبنانيثة رفلة دبانة ورئيسة برنامج تطوير الأعمال والتجارة الممًول من الوكالة الاميركية للتنمية الدولية USAID ندين طوق ورئيس النقابة اللبنانية للدواجن وليم بطرس ومنسق لجنة الزراعة في اتحاد الغرف اللبنانية ايلي مسعود ومستشار البرنامج أحمد حيدر، تم خلاله البحث في سبل التعاون بين لجنة الزراعة في أتحاد الغرف اللبنانية وUSAID لانجاز الملفات والفحوصات المخبرية التي تفرضها بعض الدول للسماح للمنتجات اللبنانية لا سيما من منشأ حيواني للولوج الى أسواقها مما قد يفتح الفرص امام المنتجين اللبنانيين من تصدير منتجاتهم لتلك الدول.

وبعد مناقشة مستفيضة ومثمرة، تم الاتفاق على مراجعة الشروط والميزانية المتوفرة في البرنامج الذي تمًوله&nbsp; USAID على أن يعقد اجتماع أو أكثر لاحقاً لمتابعة هذا الموضوع.

شقير يطلق مجلس الأعمال اللبناني- انتيغوا وباربودا برئاسة حسين البطل

أطلق رئيس الهيئات الإقتصادية رئيس غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان الوزير السابق محمد شقير في إجتماع عقد اليوم في مقر الغرفة مجلس رجال الأعمال اللبناني- انتيغوا وباربودا.

ويتألف مجلس إدارة مجلس رجال الأعمال اللبناني- انتيغوا وباربودا من الأعضاء التالية أسماؤهم: حسين البطل، أمل أبو زيد، جيزيل برو، حنا عكر، علي أيديبي، كارل روفايل وخير الدين الجسر.

في بداية الإجتماع تحدث شقير، فأشاد بالقطاع الخاص اللبناني وبرجال الأعمال اللبنانيين على تصميمهم وأصرارهم على متابعة مسيرة التقدم والنجاح إن كان في الداخل والخارج على الرغم من كل الصعوبات الكبيرة التي تواجههم في بلدهم، مؤكداً إهتمام الهيئات الاقتصادية وغرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان بتعزيز التعاون الإقتصادي مع الخارج وتوسيع آفاق العمل والاستثمار أمام رجال الأعمال اللبنانيين في مختلف دول العالم.

واعتبر شقير ان انشاء المجلس اليوم يأتي لتدعيم هذا المسار ولترسيخ أسس ثابتة لتنمية العلاقات الإقتصادية بين لبنان انتيغوا وباربودا وتعزيز التعاون بين القطاع الخاص في البلدين.

انتخاب هيئة المكتب

بعد ذلك جرى إنتخاب هيئة مكتب مجلس رجال الأعمال اللبناني- انتيغوا وباربودا وجاء كألآتي: حسين البطل رئيساً، أمل أبو زيد نائباً للرئيس، جيزيل برو أميناً للصندوق، وعلي أيديبي أيناً للسر.

بعد إتمام العملية الإنتخابية، تحدث البطل، فشكر شقير على ثقته، مؤكداً ان المجلس سيسعى دائماً لتحقيق الأهداف التي تعمل عليها الهيئات الاقتصادية وغرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان لجهة تنمية العلاقات الإقتصادية مع الخارج لا سيما مع انتيغوا وباربودا.

واشار البطل الى ان المجلس سيعمل في المرحلة المقبلة على وضع برنامج عمل يستهدف تقوية التعاون الاقتصادي بين لبنان وانتيغوا وباربودا والإستجابة لمطلبات رجال الأعمال في استكشاف الفرص وتسهيل الأعمال، مؤكداً ان المجلس بكل أعضائه سيبذل كل الجهود الممكنة من أجل تحقيق الأهداف المرجوة.

شقير يطلق مجلس الأعمال اللبناني- انتيغوا وباربودا

The Chamber of Beirut &amp; Mount Lebanon (CCIA-BML), signed within the IHERITAGE, research partnerships with three prominent universities in Lebanon. The aim is to combine efforts in researching both tangible and intangible cultural heritage in Lebanon and to leverage research with ICT and AR VR products.

The three academic institutions chosen for this undertaking are the Universit&eacute; Saint Joseph (USJ), the American University of Technology (AUT), and the School of Architecture &amp; Design at the University Of Kaslik (USEK). These partnerships will concentrate on creating innovative products and services, which will be planned and executed by AR VR application and game development specialists outsourced by CCIA-BML.

The fruit of these three research partnerships will revolve around the Byblos UNESCO site and form the backbone of AR VR apps and games along with a series of &quot;co-publications&quot; which will be made accessible online.

These research agreements have a broader goal of advancing the commercialization of public research and bolstering industrial R&amp;D. The ultimate aim is to use academic knowledge and innovation to drive economic growth and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Lebanon.

IHERITAGE -Beirut Chamber&#39;s awards 9 SPIN OFF Subgrants: Breathing New Life into Lebanese Cultural Heritage through AR VR

The Beirut Chamber has recently announced the subgrants award to nine innovative projects spinoff, within the EU funded project IHERITAGE. With a focus on integrating Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and ICT features, these projects aim to reinvigorate and promote the rich cultural heritage of Lebanon.

The IHERITAGE project underscores the importance of preserving, enhancing, and promoting cultural heritage through technological innovation. The following nine projects, funded by this initiative, have commenced their work and are projected to conclude as spin off by the end of September 2023.

By the end of September 2023, these spin-off projects are expected to go live, offering a new dimension to Lebanon&#39;s cultural gems.

A Peek into the Future: The Projects

1. Tomorrow Today: This immersive VR quest game transports players back in time, letting them experience life as a Roman soldier from 218 AD. Apart from the adrenaline rush, users will also imbibe historical facts and engage in fun, gamified challenges.

2. A marketplace for self-guided audio and AR tours: This platform is designed to offer curated, immersive audio and AR tours. Travelers and history enthusiasts can embark on self-paced journeys, uncovering lesser-known stories and facets of Lebanon.

3. Virtual Theater Museum: An ode to Lebanon&#39;s vibrant theater culture, this digital museum will curate and showcase theater history and artifacts, celebrating the nation&#39;s artistry and creativity.

4. 3D Recording and HBIM Tools for Sarepta Archaeological Site Experience: An immersive 3D experience that brings the famed Sarepta Archaeological Site to life, allowing users to virtually traverse its ancient lanes and buildings.

5.History Hill - VR Experience : A virtual reality experience of the Smar Jbeil

6. Echoes of History: This project is all about capturing and presenting layered historical narratives, ensuring that stories from the past are never forgotten.

7. ARound Lebanon: This gamified AR application aims to elevate the exploration of Lebanon&#39;s cultural heritage. It blends interactive learning with historical puzzles and also throws in a dash of commercial intrigue by promoting local businesses.

8. Lebanon Lore: Delve deep into the rich tapestry of Lebanese folklore and traditions. The platform is expected to be a reservoir of tales, dances, songs, and rituals.

9. LebaNexus: An immersive journey into the heart of Lebanese cultural heritage, this VR application promises to be both educational and enchanting.

Beirut Chamber is eagerly await the completion of these projects reflecting the fusion of technology and culture. There&#39;s no doubt that they will offer an unparalleled experience, making Lebanon&#39;s cultural heritage accessible and relatable to generations old and new.

Each of these projects, showcasing the creative genius of Lebanon&#39;s digital and cultural sectors, signifies a step towards a future where technology and heritage intertwine. IHERITAGE -Beirut Chamber's awards 9 SPIN OFF Subgrants

Beirut, July 27, 2023- The Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon in collaboration with Chamber of Tripoli and North Lebanon organized the YEP MED JOB Fair on July 27 2023 at the premises of Tripoli Chamber. The main goal is to support the ultimate objective of this EU funded project in promoting employability of talented graduates in the field of port logistics. With the participation of 13&nbsp;esteemed industry players and 46&nbsp;Young students, The job fair presented a wide array of opportunities for YEP MED graduates to explore fulfilling careers within the port logistics sector, particularly within the Tripoli port community.

The series of YEP MED regional job fairs, which commenced in Beirut, has demonstrated its significance in facilitating direct connections between YEP MED graduates and port logistics companies. During the job fair, YEP MED young trainees had the privilege of applying directly for available job vacancies, enabling them to showcase their skills and qualifications to potential employers. The YEP MED JOB Fair not only provided a platform for YEP MED trainees to explore employment possibilities, but it also promoted industry collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Beirut Chamber extended this initiative to various Lebanese districts in collaboration with regional Chambers, to ensure a comprehensive coverage across all regions of Lebanon. Additionally, a strategic promotional campaign is launched to facilitate the placement of talented young Lebanese YEP MED graduates within relevant companies.

The selected experts will be involved in the implementation of the pilot actions within the Work Package 6 of TECHLOG that will concern indicatively, but not exclusively, the following topics.&nbsp;

*Pilot actions on Eco-Drive

Call for candidates to the TECHLOG short-list for the implementation of the pilot actions in Lebanon and Tunisia

The final conference and steering committee meeting of the EU funded project Yep Med took place at Hotel Steigenberger in Damietta, Egypt on 24. &amp; 25 July. The event was organized by Damietta Port Authority and lead beneficiary Escola Barcelona in presence of high-level representatives from Egypt and partner Mediterranean countries. Beirut Chamber, a key active partner in the project, also celebrated its successful results and achieved milestones.

The Chamber delegation was represented by Director General Rabih Sabra, Director of projects Hana Nehme, IT &amp; Communication Manager Dory Abou Saab and Financial Manager Fady Sabeh. A significant highlight of the project was Beirut Chamber&#39;s development of new training curricula in port logistics sector, coaching program and regional job fairs, benefiting more than 450 Lebanese trainees. Director General Rabih Sabra presented in the opening ceremony the project&#39;s impact and sustainability path , emphasizing its relevance for the port of Beirut through port upscaling youth skills in port logistics.

Furthermore, Partners signed a partnership agreement with Escola to set the virtual collaborative framework PLIKA, aiming to ensure sustainability of YEP MED.

The two-days meeting concluded with a visit tour in Demietta Port where operations and terminal container activities were introduced to partners

Beirut Chamber, partner in EU funded project iHeritage organized over last week a sequence of free innovation and AR/VR training sessions. This initiative aimed to foster an appreciation for cultural heritage sites through ICT tools and attract participants from various backgrounds, including young talents, students, SMEs, and the public sector. Through immersive learning experiences, 16 persons comprising university students, cultural heritage enthusiasts, as well as marketing and ICT professionals, delved into the world of AR/VR under the guidance of trainers experts Evan Fakhoury and Marc Abou Abdallah. Trainees utilized cutting-edge AR/VR headsets to explore and promote the rich heritage sites of Lebanon. They embarked on an exceptional voyage in the rapidly emerging and innovative field of AR/VR in Lebanon
