Barcelona, July 11-12, 2023 - The 7th project meeting of the EU funded project INTERNISA took place in Barcelona, bringing together partners from spain, Italy, Greece, Tunisia,Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon represented by the Chamber of Beirut. Director General Rabih Sabra, Director of Projects Hana Nehme Haidar and IT &amp; Communication Manager Dory Abou Saab &nbsp;represented Beirut Chamber in Internisa steering committe meetings.This pivotal gathering centered around finalizing the outputs and deliverables of Work Package 5 (WP5), encompassing Offline Spots, Job Fairs, PR Campaigns, and Workshops. Partners also received up-to-date information on the INTERNISA Platform key indicators. 
 
The first day&#39;s agenda featured extensive discussions on scaling up and out, as well as networking efforts and signature of memornadums of understanding as part of Work Package 6 (WP6). Additionally, a presentation and discussion on the recommendation reports for expanding the involvement of policymakers and VET organizations generated valuable insights. 
 
On the second day, sessions focused on the Major Advocacy Event and an analytical presentation and discussion of the INTERNISA Sustainability Plan.&nbsp; 
 
The successful event showcased the dedication of all partners in driving the INTERNISA project forward. Co-funded by the European Union, INTERNISA aims to foster international collaboration and innovation in women digital skills acquisition and access to labor market.

دعت القوى السياسية لانتخاب رئيس للجمهورية فوراً وعدم هدر الوقت إضاعة الفرص الواعدة

الهيئات الاقتصادية شكلت لجنة لدرس تقرير صندوق النقد للخروج بخلاصات دقيقة 

&nbsp;

عقدت الهيئات الإقتصادية إجتماعاً برئاسة الوزير السابق محمد شقير في مقر غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان وبحضور أعضاء الهيئات الاقتصادية، خصصته لمناقشته تقرير صندوق النقد الدولي الأخير حول لبنان والمخاطر الكبيرة لتمدد الفراغ الرئاسي والشلل في مؤسسات الدولة على مختلف المستويات.

وبعد نقاش طويل، أصدرت الهيئات الإقتصادية بياناً أشارت فيه الى أنها أجرت عرضاً شاملاً لتقرير صندوق النقد الدولي من مختلف جوانبه، كما ناقشت بعمق الكثير من مضامينه، وعلى هذا الأساس، قررت الهيئات عدم التسرع في إعطاء رأي بالتقرير، وشكلت لجنة مهمتها إجراء دراسة معمقة للتقرير والخروج بخلاصات دقيقة لمناقشتها مع صندوق النقد.

وفي جانب آخر، عبرت الهيئات الإقتصادية عن أسفها الشديد لعدم إنتخاب رئيس للجمهورية بعد ثمانية أشهر من الفراغ في سدة الرئاسة، بسبب الكباش بين القوى السياسية.

وعبرت الهيئات عن خشيتها من تمدد الفراغ الذي من شأنه تمديد الفراغ القاتل في حاكمية مصرف لبنان، وتمديد الشلل في مؤسسات الدولة، محذرةً من ان هذا السيناريو سيطيح بكل ما بقى من امكانيات وقدرات لدى لبنان وبالمكتسبات التي حققها القطاع الخاص وكذلك بالزخم الدولي الراغب بالمساعدة لإنقاذ البلد.

وإذ قالت الهيئات الإقتصادية &quot;أننا اليوم أمام فرص حقيقية وواعدة لإعادة الاعتبار للدولة وللعودة الى مسار التعافي والنهوض، وتتمثل بالزخم الايجابي للقطاع الخاص اللبناني وموسم الصيف المزدهر واقتراب بدء عمليات التنقيب عن النفط والغاز في البلوك رقم 9 وكذلك اجواء المصالحات والتهدئة في المنطقة وبالارادة الدولية الداعمة للبنان&quot;، دعت الهيئات الاقتصادية القوى السياسية لعدم هدر الوقت وتلقف هذه الفرص والذهاب فوراً لانتخاب رئيس للجمهورية وتشكيل حكومة جديدة يكون من مهامها الأساسية توقيع إتفاق مع صندوق النقد الدولي وإجراء إصلاحات شاملة واقرار خطة إنقاذ وتعافي اقتصادي ومالي موثوقة وعادلة. &nbsp;

وأعربت الهيئات الاقتصادية عن ارتياحها الكبير للنشاط الكبير الحاصل في موسم الصيف والذي من شأنه تدعيم الوضع الاقتصادي ومختلف القطاعات الاقتصادية والاسر اللبنانية، داعيةً الجميع من دون استثناء الى توفير كل الظروف المؤاتية لموسم صيف جميل وواعد.

إنتخاب وسام عريس رئيساً لإتحاد مجالس رجال الأعمال اللبنانية الخليجية

عقد إتحاد مجالس رجال الأعمال اللبنانية الخليجية إجتماعاً برئاسة رئيس الهيئات الإقتصادية الوزير السابق محمد شقير اليوم في مقر غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان، خصص لإنتخاب رئيسٍ جديد للإتحاد بعد شغور هذا المركز بوفاة المغفور له المهندس سمير الخطيب.

وحضر الاجتماع بالإضافة الى شقير كل من نائب رئيس الاتحاد جاك صراف وأمين المال وسام فتوح وأعضاء هيئة المكتب نقولا شماس ومارون الحلو وصلاح عسيران وأمين السر الفونس ديب، والاعضاء: وجيه البزري ويحيى قصعة وايلي رزق وأسعد صقال وشادي مسعد وفادي صعب ووسام عريس وهادي سوبرة ورجا الخطيب.

افتتح شقير الإجتماع فطلب من الحضور الوقوف دقيقة صمت على روح المرحوم سمير الخطيب، متحدثاً عن الأعمال والإنجازات الهامة التي حققها الراحل والخسارة الكبيرة التي أصابت مجتمع الأعمال اللبناني والعربي بوفاته، مؤكداً ان إتحاد مجالس رجال الأعمال سيستمر في مسيرته التي من شأنها ترسيخ أفضل العلاقات بين لبنان ودول الخليج الشقيقة.

ثم عقدت جلسة الانتخاب، حيث تم انتخاب وسام عريس بالاجتماع رئيساً جديداً لاتحاد مجالس رجال الأعمال اللبنانية الخليجية.

وبعد تهنئته من قبل الحاضرين، تحدث عريس فشكر شقير وأعضاء الأتحاد على ثقتهم، مؤكداً تصميمه على العمل بالتكافل والتضامن مع كافة أعضاء المجلس من أجل تحقيق الأهداف المرجوة التي انشئ المجلس من أجلها.

وشدد عريس على ان علاقة لبنان مع الدول الخليجية هي علاقة استراتيجية وعلى كافة المستويات، لذلك سنعمل في الإتحاد على وضع برنامج عمل يعكس تطلعاتنا في القطاع الخاص اللبناني ويستجيب لمتطلبات تنمية العلاقات الإقتصادية مع هذه الدول الشقيقة بما ينسجم مع علاقاتنا الأخوية والتاريخية. &nbsp;

شقير يتفق مع سفير كوريا الجنوبية

على عدد من الخطوات لتنمية العلاقات الاقتصادية الثنائية

استقبل رئيس الهيئات الاقتصادية اللبنانية الوزير السابق محمد شقير اليوم في مقر غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان، سفير كوريا الجنوبية إيل بارك، بحضور نائب رئيس غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان نبيل فهد، وتم البحث في سبل تنمية التعاون الإقتصادي الثنائي في شتى المجالات.

بداية، رحب شقير بالسفير بارك مشيداً بعلاقات الصداقة التي تربط لبنان بدولة كوريا الجنوبية، ومؤكداً على ضرورة تنمية العلاقات الإقتصادية الثنائية وتعزيز التعاون بين القطاع الخاص في البلدين.

وأشار شقير الى وجود الكثير من الفرص الإقتصادية التي يمكن العمل عليها، لا سيما زيادة تصدير المنتجات اللبنانية التي تتمتع بمواصفات وجودة عالية الى الأسواق الكورية، لافتاً في الوقت نفسه الى وجود عدد كبير من السلع الكورية في السوق اللبنانية والتي تلاقي رواجاً كبيراً لدى اللبنانيين.

كما دعا شقير الشركات الكورية للإستثمار في لبنان، عارضاً الكثير من المجالات المجدية، مشيراً في الوقت نفسه الى إهتمام الشركات اللبنانية بنقل التكنولوجيا الكورية الجنوبية والاستفادة منها في الكثير من المجالات ومنها الصناعة والطاقة وتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات وغيرها.

&nbsp;كما دعا الشركات الكورية الكبيرة الراغبة في التوسع في أسواق المنطقة وأفريقيا الى إنشاء مراكز إقليمية لها في لبنان وإقامة شراكات عمل مع الشركات اللبنانية والاستفادة من تواجدها في هذه الاسواق.

من جهته، شكر السفير بارك شقير على المحادثات والأفكار التي طرحها والتي يمكن أن تشكل ركيزة لتطوير التعاون الإقتصادي الثنائي، مؤكداً رغبة بلاده بتقوية العلاقات الإقتصادية مع لبنان.

كما أكد وجود الكثير من فرص التعاون المشترك بين البلدين والتي يمكن العمل عليها في المستقبل.

ولفت السفير الكوري على ضرورة العمل في المرحلة المقبلة على تسويق المنتجات اللبنانية في السوق الكورية لا سيما زيت الزيتون والنبيذ والعسل، خصوصاً ان النبيذ بات يلاقي رواجاً كبيراً في السوق الكورية.

مشروع &ldquo;2Circular&rdquo; هو ممّول من الاتحاد الأوروبي والمنفذ من قبل منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية (UNIDO) بالشراكة مع وزارات الصناعة والاقتصاد والتجارة والبيئة والمالية وبالتعاون مع جمعية الصناعيين اللبنانيين واتحاد غرف التجارة والصناعة والزراعة و يهدف الى خفض التكلفة الإنتاجية وتعزيز استدامة المؤسسات الصناعية، وجعلها أكثر فعّالية وصديقة للبيئة.

يقدم المشروع عدداً من المنح العينية بقيمة اجمالية تقدر بحوالي ٢٨٠٠٠٠ يورو لدعم المؤسسات الصناعية.

Beirut, Lebanon, June 26, 2023 &mdash; The YEP MED event successfully took place today in Beirut in hybrid mode at the Hotel Gefinor Rotana, Hamra. The event, convened by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry &amp; Agriculture of Beirut &amp; Mount Lebanon (CCIA-BML), attracted prominent representatives of public sector, academic partners, port and logistics sectors, trainers and graduates.

The event was kicked off with a simultaneous online meeting that connected Beirut attendees with ESCOLA Europa-Intermodal, lead Beneficiary of YEP MED and various YEP MED partners from Spain, Italy, Egypt, Jordan and Tunisia. Opening keyword was delivered online by Eduard Rhodes, the Director of Escola Europa-Intermodal Transport Spain; followed by Duaa Qurie representative from ENI CBC MED; and Rabih Sabra, Director General of CCIA-BML and partners speeches. The meeting was a perfect blend of insightful conversations and promising collaborations.

The event resumes locally through projecting a special YEP MED video that showcased to attendees a glimpse into the program&#39;s journey, particularly the Talent Program that took place between Civitavecchia and Barcelona over a week in May 2023. The milestones of YEP MED were presented by Hana Nehme, Head of Projects at CCIA-BML, shedding light on the program&#39;s significant achievements and continuous growth. Testimonials from YEP MED graduates and trainers created an emotive atmosphere as they shared their experiences, successes, and lessons. These narratives illuminated the transformational impact of the YEP MED initiative on individual and institutional levels.

Adding to the momentum, a video presentation of the recent YEP MED Job Fair in Beirut provided insights into the diverse opportunities available for program graduates, reinforcing the initiative&#39;s commitment to facilitating career progression for its participants.

One of the day&#39;s major highlights was the graduation ceremony of the YEP MED Training Program, Celebrating the dedication of the students. The graduation was not only a celebration of their accomplishments but also an affirmation of YEP MED&#39;s ongoing commitment to fostering the next generation of port logistics industry professionals. The event concluded with a lunch at the honor of stakeholders, trainers and students.

Overall, the YEP MED event was a resounding success, encapsulating the spirit of learning, achievement, and collaboration that defines YEP MED&#39;s mission.

Beirut, June 22, 2023- The Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon organized today the YEP MED JOB Fair on June 22, 2023 in Beirut, serving as a platform to bridge the gap between talented graduates and leading companies in the field of port logistics and international trade. With the participation of 20 esteemed industry players and 62 Young students, the job fair showcased numerous opportunities for YEP MED graduates to pursue rewarding careers in their chosen fields.

The YEP MED JOB Fair proved to be an exceptional networking opportunity, bringing together dynamic companies and aspiring talents under one roof. A diverse range of renowned port logistics and international trade companies eagerly participated in the event, demonstrating their commitment to nurturing local talent and promoting economic growth in the region.

During the job fair, YEP MED graduates had the privilege of applying directly for available job vacancies, enabling them to showcase their skills and qualifications to potential employers. The participating companies warmly welcomed the graduates and engaged in productive discussions about future career prospects, leading to numerous promising opportunities.

To ensure a seamless experience for both graduates and employers, YEP MED Experts diligently organized interviews and facilitated access to the job market throughout the event.

The YEP MED JOB Fair not only provided a platform for YEP MED trainees to explore employment possibilities, but it also promoted industry collaboration and knowledge sharing. The event served as a testament to the commitment of the Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon to foster a vibrant and prosperous business environment.

Beirut Chamber will extend this initiative to various Lebanese districts in collaboration with regional Chambers, to ensure a comprehensive coverage across all regions of Lebanon. Additionally, a strategic promotional campaign will be launched to facilitate the placement of talented young Lebanese YEP MED graduates within relevant companies.
